Theme for Nevada Day Parade 2024 announced
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Nevada Day, Inc. Board of Directors has announced the theme for the Nevada Day Parade for 2024 as “All For Our Country.”
“We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s theme!” stated Jennell Peck, Nevada Day, Inc. President. “The state motto has not been used before as far back as our records show. Part of our mission is to promote history and what better way than to incorporate our official motto throughout the parade.”
All For Our Country was adopted as the state’s official motto on Feb. 24, 1866 following a vote by the Nevada State Legislature. The Legislature adopted the new motto to pay homage to the importance of national loyalty.
The previous mott was Volens et Potens, meaning Willing and Able.
“This year’s theme should make it pretty easy to decorate floats for the parade,” added Jennell Peck. “We are hoping for more decorations on the entries this year. So get out your red white and blue! It’s ‘All For Our Country’ in 2024!”
