Nevada State Police holds graduation ceremony for eight recruits

The Nevada State Police held a graduation ceremony for Academy 96 on the State Capitol in Carson Metropolis on Friday.

The Nevada State Police is proud to graduate the small however mighty class of Academy 96 and welcome eight of the State’s latest peace officers who’ve chosen to serve and defend Nevada and our communities.

Of the eight graduates, 5 will be a part of the Freeway Patrol Division and three will be a part of the Parole and Probation Division.

Three of the brand new officers are proud Veterans, two served with the Nationwide Guard and one with the Marine Corps.

The Nevada State Police has a number of sworn divisions, together with the Freeway Patrol, Parole and Probation, Capitol Police, Investigations, Coaching, State Hearth Marshal. Officers with the company can switch and promote inside the completely different divisions and have the chance to reside and work throughout Nevada.

The following academy in Las Vegas begins August 29, 2022. 

The following academy in Carson Metropolis begins November 1, 2022.
