Cincinnati man arrested in connection to death at Nevada Amtrak station

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Cincinnati man is accused of killing an elderly man at an Amtrak station in Nevada on Wednesday.

Jacob Pendleton was questioned and arrested by officers with the Winnemucca Police Department.

Witnesses told officers Pendleton pushed down Michael McClure of Caldwell, Id. while they waited for a train to arrive.

Pendleton was charged with abuse of an elderly person, which was later amended to an open murder charge after the man McClure died at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Id.

The Winnemucca police are asking anyone who witnessed McClure and Pendleton’s alleged interaction to call their office at 775-623-6396.
