Montana National Guard member receives surprise honor

FORT HARRISON — A Montana Nationwide Guard member bought a shock honor Friday at Fort Harrison.

U.S. Sen. Steve Daines introduced Maj. Daniela Ragen with a duplicate of the Congressional Document from final November, when he formally acknowledged her as “Montanan of the Month.”

“I can’t say something; that’s not standard for me!” Ragen stated. “I’m speechless!”

Daines highlighted Ragen’s laborious work to turn into a soldier – together with overcoming a language barrier – in addition to her work as a coordinator for the Guard’s counterdrug program.
