It’s not often that Mindy Kaling shares images of her two children for all to see.

But after camping under the stars in the state of Montana, and all of its lovely natural landscapes and habitat, The Office star couldn’t resist teasing her 6.5 million Instagram fans and followers with a bundle of photos and videos taken during the trip.

Kaling, 44, shared the outdoors experience with daughter Katherine, five, and son Spence, two, along with several others who were either family or close friends.

‘Montana has it all. River rafting, hiking, The Blackfoot River, campfires, s’mores and the full remains of a deer skeleton. You could not ask for more,’ she boasted of the state in the caption of her post.

The actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer actually documented much of what she wrote in the caption with photos or video, including when the group stumbled upon the deer skeleton while out in nature. Her two young kids look mesmerized as they stood over the bones alongside a few of the adults who made the trip.

The vast area where the group were camping was beautifully captured with a picture of Kaling standing on the dock of a gorgeous lake, and another of her lounging on a large rock in one of the region’s many rivers and streams.

There’s also one clip of her little girl pretending to be flying by putting her arms out to her sides as wings while walking along a bed of rocks towards a stream.

And what would a camping trip be without a fire to cook up some sweet treats like the marshmallows and s’mores?

One small fire could be seen burning away in a pit situation just off to the side of a brick home.

Of course, those fires always come in handy to cook up some BBQ classics, along with a few other healthy dishes that she showcased in one of her photos taken while she ate outside on a picnic bench.

Showing off filmmaking skills, The Mindy Project creator and star gave viewers another incredible view of the landscape by shooting a clip as she walked out of a tent. As soon as she came outside she began to take a pan of the hills, mountains and trees.

She would also appear to boast about her s’more’s making abilities with a photo of herself holding up one of her creations that she made in the fire pit that was seen roaring even higher in another picture.

The mother of two also posted a video of the various ingredients used to make her s’mores that included marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and graham crackers.

Kaling, 44, has never come out publicly to reveal the father of her two children, although there have been many people who have speculated that it was B.J. Novak, who starred with her on The Office.

The Waltham, Massachusetts native has never been bothered by all the chatter over Novak being the dad, in part, because of the long and respectful friendship they’ve had since meeting on the set.

Early on in their run on The Office as stars and writers the pair dated from 2004 to 2007, and have remained close friends ever since.

That close relationship led her to asking Novak to be godfather to both of her children, which again added speculation that her former beau and longtime best friend is the father of her two children.

Rumors: Many people have speculated that former boyfriend and colleague B.J. Novak, 44, is the father of her two children, which she has never confirmed, although she has acknowledges she had named him godfather to her kids; they are seen in March 2023

‘It doesn’t bother me,’ Kaling said of all the rumors in an interview with Marie Claire. ‘He’s the godparent to both my kids — and they have such a great relationship.’

Kaling went on to explain that at no point have the rumors ‘affected my happiness at all, it hasn’t affected my kids or B.J…. If that’s what is going to be titillating to people, I’ll take it.’

She also offered her good friend high praise, revealing that he’s ‘very good with children! He literally wrote a best-selling book called The Book With No Pictures for kids.’

‘It comes very innately to him, you know, like being with children,’ she added. ‘So he’s a great godfather.’
