Three juveniles hospitalized after severe crash in Power County – East Idaho News

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

ROCKLAND — Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:37 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, on Idaho Highway 37 at milepost 44, south of Rockland.

Three juveniles were northbound on ID-37 at milepost 44 in a blue 2006 Pontiac G6. The vehicle went off the left shoulder, overcorrected, went off the right shoulder and hit an embankment.

Two juveniles were transported by air ambulance, with critical injuries, to a local hospital. The third juvenile was transported by ground ambulance with minor injuries to a local hospital.

Alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. It is unknown if seatbelts were worn.

The roadway was blocked for approximately two hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Power County Sheriff’s Office and Power County Emergency Medical Services.
