Ground broken for Burley Idaho Temple

SALT LAKE CITY — Floor broke immediately for the Burley Idaho Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Brent H. Nielson of the Presidency of the Seventy lead the groundbreaking ceremony. 

Church President Russell M. Nelson introduced plans for the Burley Idaho Temple in April 2021. 

Plans name for a two-story temple of roughly 38,600 sq. toes. Moreover, the location for the brand new temple is on a ten.1-acre location, situated at 40 South and 150 East.

Mary Richards with the Church Information mentioned that the ten.1-acre land is farmland that belongs to the Funk household.

In keeping with the Church Communication Division, the Burley Idaho Temple will be part of eight different temples in operation, beneath development, or introduced in Idaho.

Moreover, Idaho is house to greater than 470,000 Latter-day Saints in additional than 1,200 congregations.
