Fifth Judicial District of Idaho holds oath of office ceremony for new magistrate judge
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Fifth Judicial District of Idaho held an oath of office ceremony on Friday for Jennifer Bergin as she became the court’s new magistrate judge.
Family members of Bergin, district judges, and others attended the ceremony and applauded her as the court swore her into the position.
Bergin says she wants to be as efficient as possible and make good decisions.
“I want people to be heard,” Bergin said. “I want to give fair and impartial decisions and get things done quickly as possible because I think people need good decisions quickly in order to achieve justice.”
Bergin is a graduate of Gonzaga University’s law program and has spent two decades working in law practice.
Bergin says she has a wide variety of experience, including twelve years as the Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor for the Twin Falls County Prosecutor’s Office, opening a private law firm, and eight years as a Shoshone city attorney.
