ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Gavin Day, 19U North Idaho Lakers
This week’s Athlete of the Week is Gavin Day of the 19U North Idaho Lakers American Legion baseball team.
Gavin, a catcher and rising senior at Sandpoint High, went 3-for-4 with two singles, a double and five RBIs in a recent 14-2 win over the 17U Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen. After the first three games of the summer season, he is batting a solid 6-for-8 at the plate.
