UH-Manoa renames its school of nursing to honor alumna

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The College of Hawaii at Manoa formally renamed its nursing college the Nancy Atmospera-Walch College of Nursing at a particular dedication ceremony on Friday.

Atmospera-Walch is the primary immigrant girl to have a UH college named after her.

“All the pieces that I’ve achieved in my occupation I owe it to being a nurse. And being a nurse, I owe it to the College of Hawaii,” she stated.

Atmospera-Walch was born and raised in Ilocos Sur within the Philippines and moved along with her household to Hawaii after she graduated from highschool.

The UH alumna has a number of levels from the varsity of nursing.

She based Benefit Well being Care Supplier and the AIM Healthcare Institute, and labored for The Queen’s Medical Middle for practically 30 years.
