Police are searching for a suspect involved in a food stand robbery in Waikiki.
The incident happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday near Holomoana Street and Kahanamoku Street.
“The 31-year-old victim was closing her family’s food stand when an unknown male approached her from behind and demanded money,” police said in a news release.
Police said the suspect showed her a black handgun equipped with a red laser and pointed it at her. The victim then handed over a black fanny pack containing cash.
The suspect is described as a white man wearing a ski mask, gray hoodie and baggy blue jeans. He was last seen running toward the harbor after the incident.
There were no injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300.
