As visitors increasingly travel to West Maui, a website has been created to help them know what is open or has reopened in its different towns. Whatsopenmaui.com lists activities, restaurants and volunteer opportunities that are available now.
The website is updated weekly and highlights any new information or reopenings on its homepage. It was created by Blue Hawaiian Activities, the concierge division of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.
“There were conflicting destination messages immediately following the Maui Wildfires that negatively affected partners, the community and our business. We felt that we could use our capabilities to help fill communication gaps and answer the simple question of ‘What’s open on Maui?’ during a very complicated time,” Blue Hawaiian said.
“We have a community of people that are resilient and have rebuilt from the physical, mental and economic effects of the fires,” it continued. “Please support them; come to Maui, patronize their business and experience the magic of Maui once again.”
