From Hawaii to South Lake Tahoe, Kulāiwi performs at Tahoe Arts Project concerts

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Tahoe Arts Mission (TAP) is celebrating its thirty sixth 12 months of bringing music and the humanities to varsities on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. To start out off the season, they’ve introduced per week of music from Hawaii into colleges and can wrap it up with a public live performance at Lake Tahoe Neighborhood Faculty’s Duke Theatre on Friday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m.

The musical group Kulāiwi shall be stopping by native colleges September 19-23 and wrapping up their week in Lake Tahoe with the group efficiency.

Kulāiwi means “land of my ancestors.” With hovering vocals, island harmonies, and a folks vibe, together with an easy-going charisma and witty banter, they’re dedicated to telling the tales of Hawai’i – the land and the folks – from their Indigenous factors of view. Their prodigious abilities as lyricists and composers create music imbued with Hawaiian values and methods of seeing and residing on the earth.
