6 people injured after tour helicopter crashes on Hawaii Island
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Six individuals had been injured, together with no less than one critically, following a tour helicopter crash Wednesday afternoon close to South Level.
Authorities stated an 18-year-old lady who was critically injured was airlifted to the hospital.
The 5 remaining individuals onboard, together with the pilot, had been taken by ambulance to Kona Group Hospital.
They included: Two different ladies of their teenagers, a 23-year-old man, a 48-year-old man and a 52-year-old man. Their situations ranged from secure to severe.
Authorities confirmed the chopper concerned belongs to Paradise Helicopters.
There was no fast phrase on what might have gone incorrect or the place the chopper was headed.
The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. in a distant space of Hawaii Island. The Hawaii County Hearth Division deployed crews by floor and by air to assist within the rescue.
The FAA and NTSB are stated to be responding to the crash.
In response to the incident, Ok&S Helicopters stated they’re cooperating with all authorities concerned, and can also be working to help these affected.
