Southbound Interstate 25 is closed between Downing Street and University Boulevard for a Denver Police Department investigation, agency officials said Monday.

The investigation is connected to a Friday shooting in the 4800 block of South Quebec Street that injured two men, DPD officials said.

Southbound I-25 was closed between exit 206 for Downing Street and exit 205 for University Boulevard as of 11:51 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Drivers reported a 30-minute delay in the area.
