The Buccaneers might have come into this 2024 season with expectations to win the NFC South, and maybe go a little further than the divisional round, but this team has shown a significant spark early on this year. Led by Baker Mayfield, Tampa started off with a comfortable win over the Washington Commanders in Week 1, before getting revenge on the Detroit Lions last Sunday in a gritty 20-16 win. The two games saw vastly different versions of victory, especially given the fact that the Lions heavily outplayed the Bucs. Yet, it shows this team has confidence that it can win in various ways.
One team that is trying to re-learn how to win is the Broncos. With rookie quarterback Bo Nix at the helm, the team has had some growing pains thus far. While Nix has shown flashes of what could be, his decision-making shows his immaturity and that the former Heisman candidate has a lot to learn. Nix has thrown four interceptions in the first two games of the season, which saw Denver lose to the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers. If he can settle down and take care of the ball, he can give the Broncos a chance on Sunday.
Denver is 7-3 against Tampa Bay, though the Bucs won the last meeting in 2020.
MY PICK: Buccaneers win, 28-14
