Former President Donald Trump will speak at a rally at Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora on Friday afternoon, his presidential campaign announced late Monday.

The Republican presidential nominee talked about Aurora’s recent problems with blighted apartment complexes and the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua during a New York campaign rally in September.

Trump again invoked Aurora, falsely claiming violent immigrants were taking over the city, during a nationally televised debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Aurora city and police officials have acknowledged isolated gang activity but said claims that the city is overrun by Tren de Aragua are not true.

Aurora police have publicly identified 10 gang members charged in more than a dozen criminal incidents in recent months.

Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, will also be in Colorado this week and is set to attend a fundraising dinner in Denver on Tuesday.

Rally tickets are available online. Doors open at 10 a.m. and Trump is scheduled to begin speaking at 1 p.m.
