Chris Simms of NBC Sports activities and Professional Soccer Speak not too long ago launched his rankings of the Prime 40 quarterbacks within the NFL and he has Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson ranked No. 7 on the record.
“[He’s] nonetheless among the best big-play QBs within the NFL,” Simms stated of Wilson on certainly one of his current podcast episodes. “There’s little doubt about that.”
The quarterbacks Simms has ranked above Wilson are (listed from No. 1 to No. 6) Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford. Fairly good firm to be in.
The quarterbacks ranked instantly beneath Wilson are Tom Brady, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Derek Carr and Kyler Murray.
In the meantime, former Broncos quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater (No. 38) and Drew Lock (No. 40) received little love from Simms. Lock is the lowest-ranked QB on the record and Bridgewater is barely ranked above Kenny Pickett and Lock.
Denver made a large improve at quarterback this offseason.
