Springlike weather sweeps across Colorado; more snow on the horizon
Don’t be tricked by the springlike weather heating up across Colorado this week — more snow is just around the corner.
Starting Sunday, the Denver area can look forward to sunny skies and nearly a week of warmer-than-average
temperatures.
Daily high temperatures will hover in the low to mid-60s through Thursday, with overnight lows climbing back above freezing for the first time since December, according to the National Weather Service.
The wave of warm weather will hit its peak Wednesday and Thursday, before declining steadily through the weekend, according forecasters.
The weather pattern is expected to change late next week, bringing with it Colorado’s next chance for rain and snow, according to a post from the weather service’s Pueblo office.
Although storm details are still unclear, meteorologists expect above-average precipitation for the season this week, with western Colorado seeing more rain and snow than the east.
Clouds will roll back into the metro area Friday night and stay through the weekend, according to forecasters.
