Motorcycle crash in Colorado Springs closed multiple lanes of I-25

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Multiple lanes of I-25 southbound at Garden of the Gods Road were closed on Monday night due to a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle.

The Colorado Springs Police Department said around 7:08 p.m., they were alerted to the crash. They closed multiple lanes to investigate.

Through the investigation, police said they learned the motorcyclist was traveling above the speed limit and hit a slower-moving vehicle.

Police said the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital. The highway was completely reopened by 7:45 p.m.
