COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Grey Information) – An surprising discovery within the trash Tuesday morning triggered an investigation in a residential neighborhood east of downtown Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Springs Police Division’s bomb squad was known as to the realm after somebody believed they discovered a doable grenade in a rubbish.

“I used to be going to place some stuff within the rubbish can, and I moved the Walmart bag that was on prime, and there was a grenade,” Floyd Clarke instructed KKTV. “I reached down and touched it. After I moved the bag I touched it. Then I seen what it was and it stated ‘grenade frag’ on it, so I went inside and known as 911 straight away.”

Police introduced the Regional Explosive Unit decided the explosives discovered have been “actual and likewise military-grade.”

The machine was contained, and the Fort Carson 71st Explosive Ordinance D Unit was known as to the realm for correct disposal again on publish.
