Lehkonen gets 5-year deal to stay with Avalanche

Ahead Arturri Lehkonen is sticking with the Colorado Avalanche with a five-year, $22.5 million contract extension.

The veteran was traded to the Avalanche from the Montreal Canadiens in March and performed his method into a big elevate after a terrific second half to the season and memorable contributions within the postseason.

Lehkonen, 27, is a robust middle-six presence who makes teammates higher, and he actually got here alive for Colorado throughout its Stanley Cup run.

He completed with eight objectives and 14 factors in 20 playoff video games, and scored key markers too, together with the sport winner in Sport 4 of the Western Convention remaining vs. the Edmonton Oilers, because the Avalanche punched their ticket into the Stanley Cup Ultimate in opposition to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
