Initial thoughts on Colorado's matchup with BYU in the Alamo Bowl

As mentioned above, CU and BYU lost out on a Big 12 championship game berth due to losing the tiebreaker with Iowa State and Arizona State. That could’ve been remedied in other sports with a post-season tournament, but football prefers tiebreakers.

The Alamo Bowl will spark an interesting conversation as ASU proved far better than Iowa State in the Big 12 title game, blowing out the Cyclones, 45-19. Winning the Alamo Bowl won’t get you a bid to the CFP, but fans of the winning team will wonder what could’ve been.
