Evacuations ordered due to wildfire in southwestern Colorado

RIO GRANDE NATIONAL FOREST, Colo. (KDVR) — A wildfire burning about 85 acres within the Rio Grande Nationwide Forest in Saguache County has prompted evacuations on Sunday.

The Saguache County Sheriff’s Workplace issued obligatory evacuations simply earlier than 6 p.m. for the LaGarita Creek space and the hearth has now been named the Lopez Hearth. Evacuees can go to the Middle Faculty, the Saguache County Office of Emergency Management tweeted.

The U.S. Forest Service has taken lead on the incident that’s situated roughly 10 miles north of Del Norte off Forest Service Street #670.
