Colorado vs. Nebraska live score, updates, highlights from Week 2 college football game
If Deion Sanders and Colorado didn’t have your attention a week ago, they do now.
The days of labeling Coach Prime’s tenure in Boulder just a gimmick are over. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way standout Travis Hunter have already shown they have what it takes to play at this level, and the rest of the roster did its part in a Week 1 upset of TCU. The only question now is how far this new-look Buffaloes team can go.
LIVE: Tracking Travis Hunter’s total snaps vs. Nebraska
Matt Rhule would like to remind the college football world that Sanders isn’t the only coach trying to engineer a massive turnaround. Rhule’s Nebraska debut delivered mixed results, as the Cornhuskers’ defense stifled Minnesota for much of the night before surrendering a fourth quarter lead.
Had Nebraska gotten even marginally better play out of QB Jeff Sims and the rest of the offense, Rhule might already be on the board with his first win as a Cornhusker. Nevertheless, knocking off favored Colorado on the road would be quite a statement.
Rhule faces hefty expectations in Lincoln, he likely knows the national focus will be on Colorado’s stars in this game. Can the Cornhuskers take advantage of their underdog role and spoil Sanders’ home debut?
