Colorado Department of Transportation warns of fraudulent texts

STATEWIDE, Colo. (KKTV) – On Wednesday, the Colorado Department of Transportation warned of fraudulent messages being sent to some Colorado residents.

Some people have been reportedly receiving texts claiming the receiver needs to click a link to pay Express Lanes tolls or fines.

CDOT said Colorado does not collect Express Lanes tolls or fines by text. Instead, all Colorado Express Lane and ExpressToll fees will be billed and paid directly through your ExpressToll account.
