COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Bystanders rushed into action after a car crashed in downtown Colorado Springs Sunday night.

Police received several 911 calls just after 9 p.m. that a car had wrecked on Nevada just north of Uintah in the Old North End neighborhood. They were told by witnesses that the driver and two passengers had gotten out of the vehicle, and that neighbors had run to their aid.

“All occupants of the vehicle were transported to area hospitals. All occupants sustained and were treated for serious injuries,” a CSPD lieutenant said.

After investigating the scene, officers say the driver was heading northbound when he ran off the road and crashed into a tree in the center median. Alcohol and drugs are considered factors in the crash, and police say the driver is facing charges. He was identified Monday as Aaron Rock.
