1 dead following multi-vehicle crash near UCCS in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Police have confirmed to 11 News that a multi-vehicle crash near the UCCS campus Monday evening was deadly.
This happened near Austin Bluffs and Meadow Lane.
As of this article’s last update, the fatality was the only injury reported by police. At that time, police also did not clarify how many vehicles were involved, but 11 News crews in the area reported seeing at least two damaged vehicles.
Police are asking that drivers specifically avoid eastbound Austin Bluffs from Nevada as their investigation continues. That side of the road in the area is currently closed. Police said the road will likely be closed for hours as officers investigate.
