Real baaad: Man shot trying to steal senior citizen’s goat
A California man’s current bid to steal a goat and cart it away in a stolen dune buggy was thwarted when the senior he was robbing shot him, authorities mentioned.
Alexander Belinsky, 36, was shot by a 79-year-old man on Dec. 5 after making an attempt to swipe a goat belonging to the senior and his 60-year-old spouse, in keeping with Fox 5 San Diego.
The couple had been alerted to the tried theft after they heard a few of their goats and canine make noise outdoors their San Marcos house, authorities mentioned. Once they tried to cease him, Belinsky allegedly pushed them to the bottom.
Fearing for his or her security, the 79-year-old went again inside his house and grabbed his rifle, whereas Belinsky put the goat in a dune buggy on the property and tried to begin the engine.
Belinsky then jumped out of the dune buggy to confront the husband, charging at him in a bid to seize his weapon.
In the course of the battle, the rifle fired, hitting Belinsky.
Belinsky was arrested by San Diego County deputies and brought to a neighborhood hospital and handled for a non-life-threatening harm.
The 79-year-old man suffered cuts on his arms; the spouse was not harm.
Belinsky was charged with theft, elder abuse, tried automobile theft, residential housebreaking, animal cruelty and battery, authorities mentioned.
