Ground stop lifted at LAX as powerful storm continues to pummel Southern California

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A short lived floor cease was lifted Monday night at Los Angeles Worldwide Airport, in line with the Federal Aviation Administration, as one other highly effective storm pummeled Southern California.

“Departures to Los Angeles Worldwide are grounded attributable to wind,” the FAA stated in an earlier assertion.

The grounding utilized to departures from the ZLA Air Route Site visitors Management Heart, which covers parts California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. It was lifted at about 8:15 p.m.

Heavy rain was falling throughout Southern California because the storm system moved over the area, prompting excessive winds, flood watches and evacuation warnings for some residents.

A flash flood warning was issued for Southwestern Los Angeles County by midnight Monday as heavy rain fell, bringing between 1 and a pair of inches as of about 6:30 p.m., with one other 1 to 2 inches doable within the space.
