WASHINGTON, June 7 (Reuters) – 5 automakers together with Ford Motor Co (F.N), Volkswagen AG (VOWG_p.DE) and Honda Motor Co (7267.T) on Tuesday backed efforts by President Joe Biden’s administration to revive California’s skill to set its personal strict tailpipe and zero-emission car requirements.

Joined by BMW AG (BMWG.DE) and Volvo Automobiles, the automakers in a court docket submitting backed the U.S. Environmental Safety Company’s (EPA) determination to revive the authority that was withdrawn underneath former President Donald Trump.
