300-Pound Bear Struck and Killed on California Highway

IRWINDALE, Calif. (AP) — A 300-pound (135-kilogram) bear was struck and killed Monday morning on a Southern California freeway, authorities stated.

The animal was hit by a Toyota SUV round 4:15 a.m. on a westbound connector street to Interstate 210 in Irwindale, east of Los Angeles, in accordance with the California Freeway Patrol.

The collision shattered the SUV’s windshield, Fox 11 TV reported.

The bear was ultimately faraway from the freeway on a flat-bed truck, freeway patrol Officer Ramon Kendricks instructed the Los Angeles Occasions.

Kendricks stated he didn’t know whether or not anybody within the automobile was injured within the crash.
