Our Stories: Desert Wings – Arizona's Aviation History
 
Ryan Reeves joins us to talk about the history of aviation in Chandler and airports throughout the state. What started with hot air balloons and a single aircraft, grew into early civilian and military aviation technologies of the roaring 1920s. Arizona became a flying powerhouse during WWII, and has continued to grow into the global center for aviation it is today. Come learn how our state’s history of flight through its airports, and more about the amazing women and men who made and continue making history in the wild blue.
Ryan Reeves is Chandler’s Airport Manager, Vice-President of Research for the Arizona Aviation Historical Group, and a former docent at the Pima Air & Space Museum.
