Here’s what the Diamondbacks have coming up after Giants series

Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks, with family in town, received the plaque for being named 2023 National League Rookie of the Year for 2023.
The Arizona Diamondbacks continue their 10-game, 11-day road trip with six games this week. On Monday, they begin a three-game set in St. Louis, followed by an off day Thursday and a three-game set in Seattle next weekend. The off day marks their first break in two weeks, helping provide a respite after a hectic early-season schedule.
Brandon Pfaadt, Ryne Nelson and Jordan Montgomery were lined up to start in the Cardinals series, but Nelson suffered a bruised elbow Thursday night in San Francisco and his status was uncertain. The first two starters in Seattle figure to be Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly, before the rotation makes its way back around to Pfaadt on Sunday.
The Seattle series features two nationally televised games. The Friday night game is on ESPN+ before the Saturday night game on Fox Sports 1.
The Diamondbacks split their six games with the Cardinals last year. Even as St. Louis struggled to a 71-91 record — their worst since 1995 — they were able to take two out of three at Chase Field in July. The Diamondbacks won two out of three at Busch Field last April, although that series was more notable for the final start of Madison Bumgarner’s Arizona career. In the series finale, Bumgarner allowed seven earned runs in three innings. He was designated for assignment the next morning, capping a Diamondbacks tenure in which he went 15-32 with a 5.23 ERA.
The Diamondbacks have not been to Seattle since 2021, when they surprisingly took two of three games against a Mariners team that finished 38 games ahead of them.
Last season, the Mariners won two of three against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field just prior to the trade deadline. Paul Sewald closed out the first game of that series for Seattle — his last appearance with the Mariners before a July 31 trade to Arizona.
The series will hold extra significance for Corbin Carroll. Carroll grew up in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood and attended Lakeside School, where he became a nationally-known prospect as a high schooler. Carroll returned to his hometown for last year’s All-Star Game, in which he started for the National League, but he has not played a regular season game at the Mariners’ T-Mobile Park.
