Court declines to hear arguments for condemned Arizona man

PHOENIX (AP) — A federal appeals courtroom has denied a request by legal professionals for an Arizona man dealing with execution this month to be allowed to make new arguments in an effort to overturn his loss of life sentence within the 1984 kidnapping and killing of an 8-year-old Tucson lady.

The U.S. ninth Circuit Court docket of Appeals on Friday denied the request made on behalf of Frank Atwood, convicted within the killing of Vicki Hoskinson. Atwood’s authorized crew needed to make three new arguments, however the appeals courtroom agreed with legal professionals for the state that Atwood’s legal professionals didn’t meet the standards to current new proof in federal courtroom.
