Arizona group hosting Valentine’s Day card drive to spread love to senior citizens
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and everyone deserves to feel love. Among those are our Valley senior citizens, who sometimes feel alone and isolated.
Now, one local group is holding a Valentine’s Day card drive to uplift our elderly, and that is Something Good!
Senior Helpers of Gilbert & Chandler is asking the public to help collect 500 Valentine’s Day cards (or more!) for its 3rd Annual Dear Senior Valentine’s Day Card Drive. The cards will be delivered to seniors across the Valley, spreading love and joy on this special holiday.
You can drop off a store-bought or homemade Valentine’s card at the Senior Helpers office, located near Warner and Alma School roads. Make sure to drop off your cards by February 7, so volunteers have plenty time to distribute them.
Keep it simple and sweet! Address the cards to “Dear Senior” and share a few kind words or uplifting messages.
If you have any questions, call 480-637-0349 or email EastValley@seniorhelpers.com.
Thank you to Senior Helpers for doing Something Good and helping our community!
