Arizona Gov. Ducey calls for unification of Republicans heading into General Election

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey stated in a series of tweets on Saturday that Republicans should unite behind the newly named GOP nominees heading into the November election to “guarantee Arizona stays a beacon of freedom and prosperity.”

“The votes are counted, the races are settled, and the Arizona Republican main is over. Thanks to all who participated — it’s not straightforward subjecting your self to the scrutiny of being a candidate nowadays,” Ducey stated, starting his 4-part Twitter thread on Aug. 6.

“That is going to be an necessary election given the problems our state is dealing with and it’s necessary for Arizona Republicans to unite behind our slate of candidates,” he stated.

He says because the co-chairman of the Republican Governors Affiliation, he and others in management are working to help gubernatorial hopeful and Trump-endorsed Kari Lake, who gained the occasion’s nomination.

Ducey beforehand endorsed Lake’s hardest competitor, Karrin Taylor Robson, as did former Vice President Mike Pence.
