Watch out! Wet weather for parts of Alaska
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) -Widespread rain is going to impact the state Friday night and into the weekend. Not all areas of the state will see wet weather though, it is expected to be sunny and warm in the interior.
A series of low pressure systems rotates over the western and southern parts of the state. Rain is likely from the Aleutian Chain to southwest, interior, southcentral and southeast, as the week ends and the weekend begins.
Southcentral’s rain is likely to start Friday afternoon and evening, and then taper off. A second and more significant run of weather rain arrives Saturday evening and continues through Sunday.
Hot spot was Fort Yukon with 74 degrees. Cold spot was in Point Thomson, with 32 degrees.
