Seven months after launching, Alaska canceling nonstop flight from Boise to Idaho Falls

In June, Alaska Airways launched a brand new direct flight from Boise to Idaho Falls.

Now, Alaska confirmed that beginning mid – December, it’s going to not offer this flight citing staffing issues and low demand.

“There are a number of things behind our resolution, together with a major underperformance of the flight, elevated labor prices and ongoing regional staffing challenges,” a spokesperson for Alaska Airways stated.

The final flight from Boise to Idaho Falls will take off on December 12 and the final flight from Idaho Falls to Boise is December 14 .

“We apologize for any inconvenience this causes for our company in Southern Idaho,” the spokesperson stated. “We’ll work with these company whose journey plans have been impacted.”

The nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Seattle, in addition to a number of different direct journeys, will proceed.
