Palmer woman dies in head-on collision
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A Palmer girl died in a head-on collision in Palmer on Saturday evening, in accordance with the Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers say they responded at 7:42 p.m. to a two-car collision on the intersection of North Previous Glenn Freeway and East Clark-Wolverine Highway. Troopers say a Nissan Versa was headed southbound on the freeway when the driving force tried to show left onto East Clark-Wolverine Highway. The automotive drove in entrance of a Toyota SUV that was headed down the freeway in the wrong way, leading to a head-on collision.
The driving force of the Nissan has been recognized as 49-year-old Denise Duncan of Palmer. Duncan was declared useless on the scene, whereas the driving force of the Toyota SUV sustained minor accidents. There have been no different occupants of the autos. Troopers say they don’t suspect both driver was impaired.
Duncan’s physique will probably be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s workplace. The freeway closed for about half-hour after the crash.
