An Anchorage man was killed Friday morning in a vehicle rollover on the Glenn Highway near Sheep Mountain, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Around 9 a.m., a pickup carrying a driver and two passengers and traveling southbound on the Glenn near Mile 113 “left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled over,” troopers said in an online report.

One of the passengers, Samuel Brown, 23, was declared dead at the scene, troopers said. The driver and the other passenger were brought to a hospital for treatment of injuries that troopers described as non-life-threatening.

A portion of the Glenn Highway was briefly closed Friday morning as troopers investigated the scene, and has since reopened.

Brown’s body will be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office and next of kin have been notified, troopers said.
