PROMOTERS IN ALASKA… AND THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY… HEAR A COMMON REFRAIN. TICKET PRICES ARE TOO HIGH.

“We’re not into overcharging, we’re trying to be as affordable as we can, because we want people to come, but at the same time, // There’s a million things you got to rent out here. We’ve got what 22 porta potties running costs, you know, X amount of dollars per week, right, it all adds up.”

ON THE REVENUE SIDE, TICKET SALES ARE IMPORTANT, BUT NOT THE ONLY REVENUE SOURCE. THERE’S ALSO LIQUOR AND FOOD SALES, OCCASIONALLY PARKING REVENUE…..AND OFTEN, A CUT OF MERCHANDISE SALES.

BUT NOT EVERY SHOW MAKES MONEY.
