9-year-old boy flown to Harborview Medical Center after Alaska bear attack
ALASKA – A 9-year-old boy was flown to Harborview Medical Heart after a bear assault in Alaska earlier this week.
After 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Alaska State and wildlife troopers responded to a report of a bear assault close to the Palmer Hay Flats on Glenn Freeway.
When troopers and emergency crews arrived on the scene, they discovered a person and a boy who have been each injured.
Officers mentioned the 2 have been taken to an space hospital to be handled for his or her accidents. The boy had severe accidents and the person had minor accidents.
In accordance with troopers, the 2 have been looking within the Hay Flats space once they had an encounter with a brown bear.
The bear attacked the boy and in the course of the assault, the person shot and killed the bear, troopers mentioned.
Officers at Harborview Medical Heart informed FOX 13 that the boy was flown Seattle to be handled. A spokesperson mentioned he’s in passable situation as of Thursday afternoon.
Alaska troopers will proceed to research the incident.
