Dwayne Haskins’ Instagram flooded with sympathies from NFL stars

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed early Saturday morning after he was struck by a dump truck whereas strolling on a South Florida interstate, authorities mentioned. 

Haskins was making an attempt to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 on foot when he was hit by a dump truck round 6:37 a.m., in keeping with the Florida Freeway Patrol. Haskins was pronounced lifeless on the scene, and authorities mentioned it was “unknown” why he was strolling on the interstate.

On March 27, Haskins posted a photograph from Fontainebleau Miami Seaside, a luxurious resort and landmark within the Miami space.

Haskins, who signed a one-year restricted free agent tender this offseason, was anticipated to compete for the beginning job in Pittsburgh following veteran Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement.

Earlier than becoming a member of the NFL, Haskins led the Ohio State Buckeyes to a Large Ten championship and a win within the Rose Bowl.

Haskins was launched by Washington after he threw for 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and went 3-10 over two seasons. Washington coach Ron Rivera mentioned he was “completely heartbroken” to study of Haskins’ loss of life.

“Dwayne was a gifted younger man who had an extended life forward of him,” Rivera mentioned in a launch. “It is a very unhappy time and I’m truthfully puzzled. I do know I converse for the remainder of our group in saying he shall be sorely missed. Our whole group is sending our heartfelt condolences and ideas and prayers to the Haskins household right now.”

After his stint with Washington, the Steelers supplied Haskins a second probability after they signed him to a one-year deal in 2021. He served as a third-string quarterback behind Mason Rudolph.

“Devastated,” Rudolph tweeted after studying about Haskins’ loss of life. 

Haskins is survived by his spouse, Kalabrya, dad and mom Dwayne and Tamara, and his youthful sister, Tamia.
