Todd Bensman, Middle for Immigration Research, particulars how Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is pushing the Biden administration and Mexican governors to answer the border disaster on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
TODD BENSMAN: The Abbott administration is shutting down commerce with Mexico. They’re saying that they are doing it with enhanced security inspections on the border in any respect these, the most important ports of entry in America, really for trucking, Laredo and likewise Farr and El Paso as properly. Simply shutting these bridges down with inspections, basically. And so they will not say precisely what I feel they wish to say, which is, ‘we’ll do that to you, Mexico, till you clear up your aspect of the border of the mass migration that is coming.’ Now…to me, it looks as if it is a leverage level. I feel that they’re hoping to get the Biden administration and the Mexican governors to answer this. It’s proving to be a serious muscle…that the state of Texas is ready to flex.
