Santa Barbara County rejects proposal to restart offshore oil production

Regardless of some public help for the plan, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 to reject a plan to renew oil manufacturing off the county’s coast.

Regardless of the arguments by the plan’s backers, environmentalists have been involved concerning the plan’s impacts on nature and other people, particularly because the offshore manufacturing stopped as a result of a big 2015 oil spill.
