Winnetka Vaden has had a tough life that concerned medication, prostitution and jail time.

In 2012, she determined it was time to make a distinction. She continued along with her training, opened her personal salon and barber store and employed women and men from her South Los Angeles neighborhood.

Because of Prop. 47, Vaden, identified to many as “Ms. Nickie,” was capable of expunge and cut back her prison report and now gives a record-cleaning service to members of the neighborhood to cut back earlier felonies to misdemeanors.

Vaden was first girl licensed as a gang violence interventionist in Los Angeles, and has been acknowledged by a number of metropolis officers, together with Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Because the founding father of Group Reflections Inc., Vaden continues to seek out methods to present again to her neighborhood, particularly amid the coronavirus pandemic.
