Protesters call for Long Beach bar to shut down following deadly hit-and-run

A peaceable but vocal demonstration towards a Lengthy Seashore bar was held Saturday afternoon.

The group gathered for a march and rally with individuals holding banners and posters calling for Bottoms Up Tavern to be boarded up and shut down, claiming the purchasers who go to there have severely and negatively impacted the neighborhood.

The bar is correct throughout the road from a memorial at an condominium constructing that marks the scene of a lethal hit-and-run crash that claimed the lifetime of a father and his younger daughter.

A truck crashed into the condominium constructing killing 41-year-old Jose and three year-old Samantha Palacios. Lengthy Seashore police have recognized 24 year-old Octavio Montano Islas because the suspected hit-and-run driver within the lethal crash alongside Rose Avenue on March 1. Investigators say he bolted from the pickup truck and has not been discovered.
