Man dies after arrest by Santa Ana police
A person who allegedly assaulted safety guards at a Southern California motel died at a hospital after he was arrested following a violent confrontation with police, authorities mentioned.
Santa Ana officers responded late Friday following studies of a person breaking home windows and assaulting the guards at a La Quinta Inn, in keeping with a police assertion.
The person, who had accidents to his palms and arms, acted violently when he was confronted by the officers, police mentioned.
“Throughout their efforts to restrain the male, officers used power to position him into custody,” the assertion mentioned.
The person was arrested and transported to Orange County International Medical Heart, the place he died Saturday morning. His identify was withheld pending household notification.
The Orange County District Lawyer’s Workplace is investigating the demise. Santa Ana police will even conduct an inside investigation, per division coverage.
