Bullet fired through woman's windshield on Downtown Los Angeles freeway
Officers are searching for a gunman after a bullet went through the windshield of a woman’s SUV in Downtown Los Angeles Tuesday.
The shooting was reported shortly after 2 a.m. on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway near Alameda Street.
Video showed a California Highway Patrol officer talking to the victim, who exited the freeway in her white Toyota FJ Cruiser and called authorities.
The unidentified woman told officers that someone had fired shots at her SUV while she was traveling on the freeway, stringer news service KeyNews.TV reported.
What appeared to be a bullet hole could be seen in the center of the woman’s cracked windshield.
The victim was not injured and got out of the vehicle without assistance.
It was unclear what led to the shooting.
